Cheryl and I Visit the Southwest in the 90sOne of our very first trips together was our trip to the southwest. An amazing trip, you can tell by the photos that we were much younger, excited to be together, and happy to be exploring American Southwest.
Most of the pictures here are from the summer of 1993. We had vacationed in the Rocky Mountain National Park the previous year. Now we were ready to make a grander trip out West. Our journey began traveling through the southwest looking for Indian Reservations. We stopped at Acoma in New Mexico, took some pictures in the Painted Hills and the Petrified Forest. Somewhere along the way, we stopped in Juarez Ciudad, visited Carlsbad Caverns where I lost a crown and had to find a dentist to have it cemented back on. This actually seemed to happen to me a lot. We visited Santa Fe, Taos and journeyed on to Four Corners, Mesa Verde, and Durango. The visit to San Antonio was the previous year in August of 1992. I'll need to really think about how we made all of these trips and the order we took them in. |
The British Isles
The Carribbean Princess
Princess Cruises, aka the Love Boat. Our trip began flying British Airways to Heathrow and spending the night in London. Of course, for me, that meant the night bus tour of London. I couldn't resist. Then, it was off to Guernsey where, on July 8th, we took in the sights and drank, oddly enough, a delicious pint of Guernsey Milk. Yellow and tasty, it couldn't have been better.
